Herringbone/Parquet Flooring

Decorus were asked to fit a White Oak Herringbone floor that the customer had supplied.

White Oak Herringbone

Installing Herringbone flooring is tricky and calls for high attention to detail, requiring intricate measuring skills, a keen eye and needs to be precise.

Firstly, the direction of the floor is decided, normally to suit the main architectural feature of the room. Then a line is drawn down the centre of the room. Decorus then establish other working lines, some may be diagonal, that will be followed throughout installation. Decorus follow the central line, building up flooring on each side and attach it to the subfloor. To ensure consistency, Decorus constantly check the pattern and direction.

Decorus have the skill required to fit Herringbone flooring to meet all customer demands.
